You glanced at your watch, noticing that in all this time you spent talking to Kurt, you were running out of time to figure out where your classes were. In fact, as it was, you would only have time to find your first class of the day. You sighed, not looking forward to asking for help from what seemed to be hostile peers. You looked back to Kurt, who was waiting for your response.
Um... I appreciate the thought, but I really need to get going to class. I'll have to find some other way to get cleaned up.
Oh, are you sure?
Kurt frowned, It's really no trouble to help you get cleaned up. We do it all the time.
You squinted at him. Who is we? You glanced down at your watch again. You really didn't have time to get answers to all the questions Kurt created, Yeah, I really do appreciate it, but I have to get to class. Maybe I'll see you around?
Kurt looked disappointed, Yeah... See you around.
Kurt strode off to the nearest bathroom, leaving you alone in the hallway covered in slushie. You looked down at your schedule, and found you were down the hall from your first class. Maybe you did have time to go with him after all? In any case, you blew Kurt off, and would feel awkward trying to go back on your previous decision. You walked into calculus, and as the lecture began, you found yourself deep in thought. You had a strange feeling that you were missing out on something amazing, though you couldn't fathom what.
You ended up finishing your senior year uneventfully. You didn't have particularly high grades, you didn't join any clubs, and you didn't make any lifelong friends. After you walked the stage, you felt a sense of hollowness regarding your senior year. You couldn't help but wish that you had done something different, gotten involved in something you could be passionate about.
